Most new management employees enter Smithfield’s Hog Production Division system as Manager Trainees, and begin their career development learning the production system. The growth opportunities in production are numerous, particularly for a candidate that is geographically flexible, but the company’s philosophy to promote and develop from within provides other pathways through the functional areas that support our production system like milling, logistics, and administration.
